I have been a trainer for 24 years with my own training in consistent with other professional trainers using a technique called positive reinforcement. I started training with a trainer when I was 15 years old, with a lady by the name of Lucille Cosby in Bend Oregon. During this time she was one of the top 10 judges in the country for obedience and conformation.
Lucille Cosby's training was most recognized by her business title. "Dog obedience training, WITH LOVE," by Lucille Cosby.
The undying love for her canine companions became a reality to me when I found myself in her arms as a teenager looking for adventure, to realize I had a talent naturally for animals.
I went on as an aviate trainer, (as a helper) for the next few years. With many other dog training skills taught to me as life moved on.
I obtained beginning to advanced training obedience dog training. As life follows I found the love for the behavior issues in the canine, to be my best adversary.
I also found myself fascinated in some German training i.e. Temperament testing,Obedience,Tracking, protection called Schutzund. I have been taught many talents associated to the canine species, for 24 years and counting.
I also worked as a dog groomer,a veterinarian technician in a large country vet clinic, Manager in a large pet supply company in Salem Oregon, and later owned my own dog grooming shop and, now my own training career. Needless to say I've spent most of my life revolved around the canine species.
As Lucille Cosby would say, "If a space ship would come down to us.....and the Martians came out, arms swaying and yelling, and expecting us to understand? How could we communicate?
As well as the canine, we need to teach with "love" and actions added with the words, to get the communication understood between our furry little canine friends that love to please!
